We can see all kinds of exquisite gift boxes everywhere in daily life. The patterns on these boxes adopt hot stamping technology, looking elegant, stylish and high-grade. So what is the UV hot stamping process? Is it difficult to implement?

UV hot stamping process is actually not as difficult as you think. Based on the principle of hot pressing transfer, this technology transfers the aluminum layer from anodized aluminum foil onto the substrate surface to create a unique metallic finish, which is then finished with UV (ultraviolet) curable ink.

The main material for hot stamping is anodized aluminum foil, so it is also known as anodized aluminum stamping. For UV coating, the key materials are photosensitive ink combined with UV curing lamps.

Hot stamping mainly has two functions:

First, surface decoration, which helps increase product added value. When combined with embossing and other processing techniques, it delivers distinct textures and lines as well as strong three-dimensional visuals. The premium hot stamping finish creates an outstanding decorative effect.

Second, it endows products with excellent anti-counterfeiting performance, such as applying holographic registered hot stamping on trademarks and logos.

Materials processed with UV hot stamping feature exquisite, glittering patterns, along with excellent wear resistance and weather resistance.

Hot stamping is widely applied to decorative paintings, gift boxes, wine boxes, leather products, acrylic materials, bottles, cards, phone cases, tiles and more.
