Due to differences in surface properties of various substrates as well as varying performance of UV ink in adhesion and flexibility, peeling and flaking may occur on certain materials. UV printer coatings are required to improve the adhesion and bonding strength of ink on material surfaces
ABS Coating
A wide range of ABS coatings are available, compatible with wood boards, kraft paper, PVC, ABS, gypsum boards, acrylic, PS, plastics and other substrates. They come in transparent and white variants, both capable of delivering glossy and matte finishes.
CP Metal Coating: For metallic substrates, faster drying speed. Thicker coating film is recommended.
DY Metal Coating: For metals and ceramics, slower drying than CP grade.
Suitable for aluminum, tinplate, copper sheet, aluminum alloy, tempered glass (special surface pretreatment required). Available in transparent and white, both supporting glossy and matte effects.Selection principle depends on surface smoothness: use DY grade for smoother surfaces such as ceramics (smoother than glass).
For products requiring boiling resistance, mix with white primer to enhance adhesion. Avoid high-concentration white primer, which may dissolve printed patterns. Double coating application yields optimal results.
PC is a rigid substrate that normally presents poor ink adhesion. PC coating works for polymer materials starting with letter P, including PS, PP and PVC.
